The measures come amid a deteriorating Lebanese economy. \n\nTarek Sardouk, a local resident, said he opposed the latest lockdown saying it was not economically sustainable. \”We closed the country for a long time, and nothing changed. On the contrary, the economy collapsed further. So, in my opinion, every person should bear responsibility, if he feels the symptoms and quarantines himself, if he is an expatriate or resident, and there should be no lockdown of the country because the country cannot bear any more,\” he said. \n\nThe Lebanese government introduced on Thursday a lockdown until Monday night in a bid to limit the spread of coronavirus in the country.\n\n Video ID: 20200731-055\n\n Video on Demand: https://ruptly.tv/videos/20200731-055\n Contact: [email protected] \n\n Twitter: http://twitter.com/Ruptly\n Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Ruptly
