A few time ago it was revealed in the channel AnimalsAndReports, the video “Split Rock Plant succulent | Container Gardening”.
As informed by AnimalsAndReports: “Pleiospilos nelii ‘Royal Flush’ is also known as the Split Rock plant because it resembles a broken stone. In Spring this odd looking succulent blooms a large daisy-like flower about 2 inches in diameter that lasts around 12 days (yes, I tested it). The flower opens in the late afternoon and closes at night and if the day is cloudy, it remains closed. More details in video on care of plant. *Overwatering is the main killer. On a side note, I purchased this plant last year and hadn’t bloomed until now. Also, if you take a closer look, two of its leaves are shriveling and the nutrients being absorbed for energy in the making of a flower — all resources go into this beautiful flower. When the flower fades, it will give off seeds and new leaves will emerge from the center. You can also grow indoors under an LED lamp. There was one cloudy day that I brought the plant indoors and the flower opened under a standard desk lamp (LED).”
