The deal was valued at $2b dollars setting Nikola’s market cap based on this value at 18b, which shares quickly reacted to shares of Nikola skyrocketed 39%, as much as 50% intraday, closing at $50.05 per share. What does this partnership mean for competition against Tesla? Is Nikola stock a buy? Should I sell Tesla stock? Should I buy Nikola stock? Should I buy GM Stock? in this video, I discuss my opinions on Tesla vs Nikola \u0026 GM’s autonomy and the way they might attract buyers. We’ll talk Tesla ownership demographics and compare features between the vehicles to help us make an educated decision: Should we sell Nikola or buy Nikola stock? Why is Tesla stock falling? And should we buy Nikola and GM stock Instead? \n\nWhile GM sales in the USA increased between 2010 and 2017, they began falling in 2018 and 2019 – and industry experts worry this is the start of a longer down trend. 2020 isn’t going any better – their second quarter year over year revenues are down to nearly a third of what they were in 2019. In fairness though, this year we’re in a pandemic, but that doesn’t change the downtrend we’ve been seeing in 2018 and 2019. Tesla’s orders haven’t gone down, BUT in fairness Tesla hasn’t gotten to production capacity yet – they’re barley delivering 500,000 cars per year which is 1/6th of what GM is delivering. Why is GM trending down? There’s no doubt a push to electric vehicles right now. GM is working on 12-13 new EVs by 2023. Unfortunately, GM doesn’t seem to be appealing to customers in the EV market. Appealing to EV customers is really really important. So if you care about Tesla, GM, or Nikola – ask yourself — WHO’s the target audience? Who drives EVs? Who drives teslas? That’s the market GM and Nikola have to convince. To try to appeal to the EV consumers, GM is partnering with Nikola to manufacture Nikola’s badger likely in hopes of making the GM brand seem more hip and more innovative. Remember going into this, Nikola does NOT have autonomy. Nikola does not have self driving features and has publicly stated that they do not intend on creating self driving functionalities. Super Cruise is Cadillac’s (GM’s) driver assistance feature and it’s expected to be included in the chevy bolt soon – which presumably would be included in the Nikola badger as well. This is a feature that’s supposed to compete with Tesla’s auto pilot. But I wouldn’t hold your breath. GM’s branding doesn’t exactly scream EV or self driving, especially when the Chevy Bolt runs around $37,000, nearly in line with the Tesla model 3. For giggles though, let’s compare GM’s Super Cruise to Tesla’s auto pilot – and then I’ll talk Nikola. GM is using SuperCuirse, but thanks to the restrictions on super cruise (SuperCruise), it’s very likely Nikola and GM are going to have a difficult time converting a TESLA-style EV buyer to Tesla. Maybe they’re appeal to a different demographic though. \n\nTickers: NKLA, TSLA, and GM.\n\n📝Contact Information for Kevin \u0026 Liability Disclaimer:
