There will be ‘medium’, ‘high’ and ‘very high’ tiers, depending on the spread of coronavirus in a certain region. Trending  When do new covid rules start? The new three-tier system will come into force from 12.01am on Wednesday, October 14. Most areas currently under a local lockdown or additional restrictions will be placed under Tier 2 restrictions from this date. A few other areas, such as Nottinghamshire, are being upgraded to Tier 2 restrictions as well.     The Liverpool City region will be the only part of the country to face Tier 3 restrictions from Wednesday. Under the highest tier, people living in the region will not be able to socialise with other people from outside their households in indoor settings. Pubs and bars will also have to close temporarily, unless they can operate as a restaurant. Other venues will also be closing across Liverpool City, including gyms, casinos and betting shops.    Any parts of England not under Tier 2 or Tier 3 restrictions will be included under Tier 1 restrictions, meaning the rule of six and curfews for hospitality businesses will remain in place. The new tier system will come into force from Wednesday, and all areas will be placed under a tier from this point. The Government website will soon include a postcode checker, which can be used to find out what tier your local area is in.     When do new covid rules end? The Government has not yet given a date for when lockdown restrictions will end in the . Boris Johnson told the Downing Street press conference on Monday the Government will do their “absolute best” to get the spread of the virus under control by the end of the year. He said: \”We’ll do our absolute best to try to make sure we can get life back to as close to normal as possible for Christmas.   \”But that is going to depend, I’m afraid, on our success in getting this virus down and our ability as a country to follow through on the package of measures.\” All lockdown measures across England will be subject to regular review. Areas with rising numbers of coronavirus cases will likely be upgraded to Tier 2 or Tier 3 restrictions over the coming weeks and months. For the areas with the highest lockdown restrictions, currently Liverpool City, there is a four-week “sunset clause” in place. Mr Johnson added: \”We will also keep these measures under constant review, including a four-week sunset clause for interventions in very high areas.\”
